About Resume Maker
Who builds Resume Maker, what the AI resume builder and free tools do, what's free, and how the career guides are researched.
What it is
Resume Maker is an AI resume builder for one-page resumes. You start from one of 1,000 template layouts, a sample resume, or your old resume (PDF, Word .docx, or plain text), then edit the page directly or ask the AI assistant for changes in plain language. The assistant edits the real document, and the export is a PDF with selectable text that applicant tracking systems can read.
Alongside the builder there are free tools, such as a resume checker, a keyword scanner and salary calculators, and a library of career guides.
Who builds it
Resume Maker is built by Rohit Saluja, its founder, a full-stack developer with nine years of experience. He designs and builds the product and is responsible for every guide on the blog.
What's free
Creating and editing a resume is free and needs no account. Signing in with Google is needed only to use the AI assistant or to download your PDF. Every workspace starts with free AI credits, and an optional Pro subscription refills them each month. The checkers, calculators and trackers on the tools page are free and run in your browser.
How the guides are written
Each guide is researched from primary sources, such as government labor data, university career centers and hiring-software documentation, and lists them at the end. Product mentions describe only features that exist. The full process is in the editorial guidelines.
